"Inspectors in our department, are the base of the pyramidal structure of the department. They are also face of the department, since they are the field level executives. Their duties are very well indicated in Board’s Instruction dated 24.12.2008 issued under F.No. 224/ 37/2005-CX-6. However, presently the department is facing acute shortage of Inspectors and out of the available strength of Inspectors, number of experienced Inspectors is even less, which is affecting the day to day functioning of the department.
To get our demands fulfilled and our grievances redressed, the first and foremost important thing is to stay united - "Unity being strength". Our new body of office bearers has been elected on 15.12.2014, unopposed and with unanimous support of our members, which shows the unity and strength of our association.
Our Ex-office bearers have always worked with their complete dedication and utmost efforts in the interest of the Inspector's Cadre as a whole. We thank them for setting an example and guiding milestone for the new body of office bearers. We hope that they continue with their guidance and support, as usual.
We have also decided to have a get together of our cadre from Surat, Ankleshwar and Bharuch, most probably in the month of January. We request all our members to regularly visit our blog and stay connected with us and submit their positive suggestions for betterment of our cadre and as a whole our department.
